some things are too important to stay quiet about.
I didn’t start building start “start biting” because I thought the world needed another organization saying all the right things. I wanted to be a part of building something that actually means something.
I founded “start biting” because I want the word advocacy to actually hold weight to it instead throwing it around like it means nothing.
I’m interested in creating a space for people to be heard, supporting survivors, challenging silence, and making room for conversations that deserve far more attention than they receive.
I believe people deserve to be believed, supported, and treated with dignity. I believe silence can protect the wrong people. I believe change requires more than posting an inspirational quote and calling it a day.
and I believe you can be compassionate without being passive, outspoken without being cruel, and hopeful without being naive.
I’m not interested in making difficult things sound pretty just so that they are easier to swallow. sometime the point is that they are difficult.
“sTART biting” is about refusing to accept things could change simply because this is how they are. it’s about turning that frustration into something bigger than words. it’s about creating space for support, connection, and change.
I know the word doesn’t change overnight. I know good intentions aren’t enough.
but I also know that nothing changes when everyone stays quiet.
so this is me refusing to stay quiet.
a little less silence. a little more action.
let’s start biting.
