I think about the women who came before me, too much if you ask me.
I know the pain of being a woman in 2026, I cannot fathom to imagine what the women from centuries and hundreds of years ago must have endured.
I’m not denying that present-time women still have a long way to go.
We want full ownership and autonomy for our bodies. We want a society where women feel safe to go out with their friends or listen to their headphones in full volume.
Personally, I would love to be treated exactly the same as a man with my same qualities, education, personality, and yes, attractiveness. I want to wear whatever the fuck I want without my body being sexualized for the fact that my shorts are “too short.” I want to stop being seen as an object or a warm body. I would love it if my kindness was not perceived as flirting. It would be amazing if I could walk through my city without needing to look over my shoulder, just to be safe.
A man is not entitled to me simply because he is a man.
Circling back to the women who came before me.
I mourn for them. My heart breaks for them. I applaud the women who stood against the patriarchy and fought for us to be here.
I will continue doing the work they started. I will get my MSW. I’m building a nonprofit called “Start Biting,” to advocate and support all survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
I am a damn capable woman.
I fear no man.
I will not bow down.
I will not submit.
And I will keep on being hot and buying myself more Manolo Blahnik heels, while making a difference and dismantling systems.
I can outman any man and I can do it wearing designer high heels, bitch.
